Developed by HMI Institute of Health Sciences, the Certificate in Nursing Practices
for Foreign Educated Nurses is the only program in Singapore approved by the
Singapore Nursing Board to train and prepare foreign-educated nurses for work in
Singapore and other Commonwealth countries.
The program provides a foundation for its foreign students to:
- Become proficient in Nursing English
- Embark on a challenging nursing career in Singapore with placement opportunities
in healthcare facilities throughout Singapore
- Attain competitive compensation prospects upon successful completion of the program
- Further upgrade through the Bachelor of Nursing program offered in collaboration
with the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology University (RMIT) in Singapore
Course Structure
- Part 1: 3 ½ months of Occupational Nursing English Language Training
- Part 2: 6½ months of Nursing Practices Training designed to prepare students for the Singapore Nursing Board licensure examination and orientate them to Singapore nursing practices
