St George's University campus The School offers four- to seven-year programmes leading to the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. For clinical studies, the programme is affiliated with two of the seven veterinary schools in the United Kingdom, 23 of the 28 veterinary schools in the United States, and schools in Canada, Ireland, and Australia. Graduate Programmes

Alumni from the School of Veterinary Medicine have a 69% pass rate on the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons Statutory Membership Examination that has a 30% pass rate overall. In 2010, nearly half of those who passed the Examination were SGU graduates.

Extraordinary Caribbean Campus St. George’s $250+ million campus is a bustling university city on a peninsula overlooking the sea. Over 70 state-of-the-art buildings were constructed in a major expansion over the last ten years, including a library, anatomy labs, dormitories, several restaurants, lecture halls, and a research institute. Students enjoy all the amenities of modern campus life in the middle of a tropical paradise. Over 2,000 students live on campus and others live in the surrounding neighborhoods, which are served by the University-provided free bus transportation.

Research Possibilities The University-affiliated Windward Islands Research and Education Foundation maintains a research institute on campus and collaborates with prestigious North American, European, Caribbean, and African institutions. Among other studies, the Foundation draws internationally recognized scholars and regional scientists to research various communicable and noncommunicable diseases and health issues affecting the developing regions of the world.

A Dedication to Student Success St. George’s University’s dedicated Department of Educational Services teaches students how to learn, and teachers how to teach. This unusual and highly effective faculty is the largest on campus, and is an important component of our students’ and graduates’ successes. Close to 100% of the University’s students, and many professors in all schools, avail themselves of the support offered through its innovative programmes, including time management, note-taking skills, and utilising technology effectively in teaching and learning.
